AMERICA MECKHE ASSOCIATION (AMA)

AMA was created in the early 90’s by a group of young men and women from a small town in the west African country of Senegal. As a non-profit organization, AMA survived because of the contribution of its members. Its purpose was to help finance or be part of any small project the town would have.
Under the leadership of Mr. Djiby Sall and friends, AMA used to meet the first Tuesday of every month. Twenty dollars ($20) donation was required from every attendee. That money would be saved by the treasurer, and at the end of each year, the board of trustees would meet and decide which project to engage on.

In the early 2000’s, under a new management, AMA reached its plenitude, and during Covid-19 pandemic, medicine, hand sanitizing gels, masks, cleaning supplies were provided in a great amount for the hospital and the municipal market place. Computers were bought also and sent to schools, the hospital, and the municipality.

Child delivery beds were also sent to the hospital to facilitate labor and baby deliveries. We also sent money to help with reforestation of the whole town. All these actions were done through members’ donations.
More projects are on the way for the fiscal year 2024-2025:
To be announced later…
That’s the reason why we are asking each and every one to support and help finance our projects.
